Case Manager

The YWCA of Southern Arizona is tasked with creating a sustainable, effective, and efficient processes that place BIPOC women more firmly and equitably in control of their futures while increasing self-confidence and economic independence.



The Case Manager supports YWCA programs with intake of participants and triage to appropriate services through the YWCA and external partners. Being bilingual (English-Spanish) is a requirement to be considered for this position.


Responsibilities
  • Collect information on service needs from program participants.
  • Collect needs assessment data to help determine both the number and types of services that are needed for program participants.
  • Develops service plans and provides support by connecting program participants to resources and referrals.
  • Monitors and evaluates participant plans and adjusts according to changes in needs.
  • Assists in evaluating the program and tracking program effectiveness.
  • Maintains relationships with community partners and promotes program services.
  • Assists with recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing program contractors and volunteers.
  • Provides mentorship, resources, and guidance to program participants.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and ability to work effectively with the program participants, volunteers, and YWCA staff.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of empathy be able to build rapport quickly with the program participants.
  • Must show a strong disposition toward participant advocacy to help navigate internal and external systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a Human Services or a related field
  • Experience assisting or coordinating a non-profit or community-based program
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.


Hours, Location and Benefits
  • Full-time, 40-hour work weeks, day shifts as well as evenings and weekends as needed.
  • This position is in an office setting and is mostly sedentary. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
