SNAP CAN is Federally funded by the US Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (USDA FNS) with $10,298,480.25 for FY2026. Additionally, for FY2026 $7,257,275.75 is financed by non-Federal sources.


What is SNAP-CAN?

SNAP CAN is a community-based program offered through the Arizona Department of Economic Security.


DES partners with community organizations to provide employment readiness and training programs to people who qualify for SNAP benefits.

Who Can Participate in SNAP-CAN?

  • You must be receiving Nutritional Assistance (SNAP) benefits.
  • Actively engage in job readiness activities and programs offered at YWCA.
  • Those receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families are not eligible for SNAP-CAN services. For TANF employment services, visit the Arizona DES website.
