Single moms are beginning a new journey towards self-sufficiency with technical education training offered in partnership with the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA) and YWCA Southern Arizona.

  • The Pathways Program for Single Moms enables single mothers to earn a credit-bearing Career & Technical Education (CTE) certificate, preparing them for careers in growing fields that pay a thriving wage.
  • Moms who are also eligible for childcare will receive support through the First Things First-Quality First Initiative.

The Women’s Found­­ation for the State of Arizona (WFSA) has selected YWCA Southern Arizona as its Southern Arizona partner to provide services in support of its mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Education Partner

Pima Community College has partnered with YWCA Southern Arizona to bring you fast-track certificate programs that quickly prepare you to start a career in an in-demand field.

Eligibility for Southern Arizona:
  • Identify as a Single Mom
  • Complete Southern Arizona Pathways application
  • Complete One-on-One Intake Interview with Pathways Program Manager
  • Complete Pima College application and requirements     (detailed in PCC’s intake)
  • Choose eligible certificate program in technical fields
  • Pima County One-Stop/ AZ@Work approval
  • Complete PCOS Childcare Scholarship voucher (if applicable)
